Northwest Seaport Alliance Reports 8.5% Increase in March Container Volume

The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) saw a significant rise in container throughput in March 2024, totaling 261,495 TEUs, marking an 8.5% increase from the previous year. The total volume from the start of the year reached 699,382 TEUs, with imports and exports growing by 5.6% and 14.8%, respectively. NWSA is also launching a multimillion-dollar incentive program to enhance intermodal freight volume and improve service delivery starting May 1st.
