Challenge

For many global brands, sourcing products across Asia is about more than finding the right manufacturers—it is about building a supply chain that can efficiently support business growth.

As supplier networks expand across multiple countries, coordinating procurement, inventory, customs compliance, warehousing, and distribution becomes increasingly complex. Without a centralized operating model, businesses can face fragmented processes, higher logistics costs, and limited visibility across their supply chain.

A U.S.-based battery and lighting brand was facing these challenges while sourcing products from multiple OEM and ODM manufacturers throughout Asia. The company needed a more efficient way to coordinate suppliers, consolidate inventory, manage customs and compliance requirements, and fulfill sales orders across its target markets.

Solution

Phoenix International developed a centralized Asia Supply Chain Hub to serve as the customer’s regional operations center.

Based on the customer’s sourcing footprint, geographic coverage, and sales markets, Phoenix selected a strategic warehouse location where products from multiple suppliers could be consolidated and managed through one integrated operation.

Acting as an extension of the customer’s supply chain team, Phoenix coordinates inbound shipments, manages inventory, oversees warehouse operations and outsourced labor, and handles customs declarations, trade compliance, and related documentation on the customer’s behalf.

Bonded warehousing solutions also provide greater flexibility in managing inventory and customs requirements. As sales orders are received, Phoenix fulfills and distributes the products to the appropriate markets through the regional transportation network.

By bringing procurement support, warehousing, compliance, and distribution together, Phoenix created a more connected flow from suppliers to the customer’s sales markets.

Business Value

The centralized hub helped the customer simplify its regional operations and build a more efficient and scalable supply chain.

Key benefits include:

  • Centralized coordination across multiple OEM and ODM suppliers
  • Improved inventory visibility and operational control
  • Streamlined customs declarations and trade compliance
  • Flexible bonded and non-bonded warehousing solutions
  • Reduced transportation touchpoints and logistics costs
  • Lower carbon footprint through strategic inventory positioning
  • Faster and more efficient sales order fulfillment
  • A scalable operating model that supports future growth

The Phoenix Difference

Phoenix provides more than transportation and warehouse space.

By connecting supplier coordination, customs and compliance, inventory management, warehouse operations, and regional distribution through one centralized hub, Phoenix serves as an extension of the customer’s supply chain organization.

This integrated approach allows global brands to simplify regional operations, improve visibility, and scale their business across Asia with greater control and flexibility.
