Dear Clients,

We are writing to provide an update regarding U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations during the ongoing government shutdown.

CBP has confirmed the following:

  • All customs personnel are reporting to work with no reduction in staffing.
  • Entry clearances, inspections, refunds, and licensing/permit processing continue without delay.
  • Cargo inspections are proceeding as usual.
  • Local port officers and ABI representatives remain available and responsive.
  • Partner Government Agency (PGA) entries are currently being processed without delays.We are aware of delays occurring at certain U.S. border crossings, where truck drivers have experienced extended wait times, in some cases overnight. CBP is actively reviewing the cause of these delays.

    We remain in close communication with CBP and local ports to monitor developments and will continue to keep you informed. Should you have any questions regarding your shipments, please do not hesitate to contact your account representative.
